Dayton Ohio Area Freelance Photojournalism

For the past few years, I've been doing more and more freelance photography for regional, national, and international newspapers, trade publications, and other printed materials.  If you have an event in the Dayton area that you need covered, please contact me for rates and availability.

Member, National Press Photographers Association and American Society of Media Photographers.

I was hired by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur to shoot photos for their magazine, Cross Currents.  The assignment was to profile some students at Chaminade-Julienne High School who worked with the Civully teacher and show how they integrate into and enrich the school.

Two of these photos were used in their Spring 08 issue.  The index for their issues is available here.

The assignment here was to profile Margo Cantrell, owner of Simply S.U.V.'s in Brookville, Ohio as car dealer and elected official for the trade publication Used Car News.  We brought together the former and current mayors of Brookville and others, dressed them up in campaign supporter t-shirts and had them holding yard signs behind Margo.  The weather was cold and gloomy, but it didn't dampen the spirits of these fine people.  They earned extra points because the Ohio State-Michigan game was beginning in an hour or so of our shoot (so we were in a bit of a hurry).

To the right you can see that one of the photos made it onto the front page of this national publication.

I shot this story for the Catholic Telegraph newspaper.  Several former priests gather to celebrate the 150th anniversary of St. Paul Church in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
